What started as a 1-time, 1-song moment during a morning service in 2018, has proven to be an anointed culmination of something very special for us. The history between the three of us goes back to our youth when we were starting out, and singing in concerts together with different Ministries. Little did we know that one day, God would put the three of us together as a Ministry team.
Kevin Bailey, Pam Hunter-Layne, and Patti Whitley-Miller make up the team. The Three of us grew up in families where gospel Music was very important. Growing up, our families were involved in music Ministries in the Pacific Southwest, so there is a deep rooted love for Ministry through music that God has placed within each of us.
Gateway Trio can be seen at multiple concert venues throughout the year, however, our main desire is to be used in local Church services, as we feel that we can share our stories and music in a more personal application to touch hearts and see people come to a Saving knowledge of Salvation. That is what we have been called to do, and the rewards are so much more precious than what a few seconds of applause can provide.
We strive to provide a musical presentation which envelops a multitude of musical styles and genre’s and with the musical direction of Churches ever-changing, we are thankful for the ability to have a diverse selection available for our programs. Ultimately, the message contained in the music is the most important element, so as a team, we audit the lyrics of each song to verify it’s Scriptural integrity. Our process is simple. If the lyrics do not line up with the Bible, it is not eligible for this Ministry.
